Sun – Ultra Violet Rays
Sun is a main cause for the development of the wrinkles as the Ultra-Violet rays of the sun does some serious damage to the skin. People who work in sun for long hours are often susceptible to wrinkles in the skin.
Ultraviolet Rays speeds up the aging process and thus causes sagging in the skin. It also breaks down the collagen and elastin fibers in the skin. These are present deep under the skin (dermis layer) and provide support for the skin. When these fibers are broken down, skin loses it support and wrinkles appears on the skin.
Pollution
If you think that the environment is not a factor for skin wrinkles, think again. Pollution causes a major damage to the skin and causes wrinkles to appear at a young age.
It is found that the people live in urban areas are prone to skin problems such as Wrinkles, pimples etc., It is best advised for the people living in urban areas need to take special care for their skin.
Stress
There is no need to state the effects of stress on skin. Stress damages not only the skin but also the whole body. Stress damages the cortisol content in the skin which makes the skin dry.
Dry Skin
Dry skin is also an important reason for appearance of wrinkles in the skin. Dry skin is more susceptible for wrinkles in the skin. So it is important to take care of the dry skin with some moisturizers.
Lack of Sleep
Sleep is an important aspect for humans. It is during the sleep body rejuvenates and repairs the skin cells. If you don’t provide enough sleep, the body won’t be able to rejuvenate the skin cells thus making the skin saggy and wrinkles start to appear.
Smoking
This is a second main reason for wrinkles in skin after Sun. Smoking accelerates the aging process of your skin. The collagen and elastin fibers are broken down and your skin loses it support. The skin loses it flexibility and wrinkles appear in your skin.

Age
As you get older, your skin gets thinner, drier, and less elastic, and less able to protect itself from damage. This leads to getting wrinkles and fine lines on the skin.
The skin loses its elasticity and flexibility as we age. When a person is young, the skin will more elastic and it comes back to it original position but when we age, skin loses it ability to come back to its original position.
Facial Expressions
The more facial expressions we use, we might start getting fine lines in skin at a young age. When we use facial expressions we use the facial muscles to form the expression in the skin. But when we keep using the same muscles for same expressions, these muscles will start to develop a fine lines under the skin.
