Buttermilk and Radish to treat Dark spots

The scars and spots left by acne are more annoying and disheartening. The current unrealistic beauty standards claim that fairness and brightness are signs of healthy skin. However, the reality is far from this assumption. Healthy skin is characterized by high elasticity, smooth texture, and even tone.

Makeup is a temporary solution as it can only camouflage, not cure your skin problems. Using cheap or bad quality cosmetic products can make your skin greasy and further aggravate the problem. One of the easiest ways to get clear and spotless skin is to stick to natural home remedies as they are safe and reliable and don’t burn a hole in your pocket.

Things Required:

  • Radish- medium-sized
  • Buttermilk – two tablespoons

How To:

  • Cut the radish into cubes, feed it to the juicer/mixer and extract the juice of the radish.
  • Take two tablespoons or equal amount of both buttermilk and radish juice in a bowl
  • Apply the mixture on your skin and leave it in for an hour then rinse with clean cold water.

For better results, follow this method for two weeks in alternating days and you can see spotless, radiant and glowing skin.

Why it Works:

Radish is a good source of skin-friendly vitamins such as vitamin A and C. It is a well-known fact that vitamin C is an antioxidant, meaning it protects skin cells from damaging free radicals caused by UV exposure.

It also inhibits melanin production in the skin, which helps to lighten hyperpigmentation and brown spots, even out skin tone, and enhance skin radiance.

Buttermilk on the hand is rich in lactic acid which helps in removing the dead skin and lighten the dark spots.
