Get rid of Dark circles using Sandalwood and Nutmeg

Ayurveda recognizes stress as the biggest enemy for the skin. Due to stress, the skin under the eyes becomes thin, and the blood vessels underneath it become visible as dark circles. We cannot remove these stressors from our lives altogether. However, they are natural ways to prevent dark circles and get rid of them naturally.

Things Required:

  • Sandalwood
  • Nutmeg
  • Milk

How To:

  • Take a piece of nutmeg and rub it on the sandalwood stone.
  • Make a paste of it along with little raw milk.
  • Apply the paste around your eyes and wash off with cold water after drying.

Though it takes a little time to prepare due to the rubbing process, the result is undoubtedly satisfying. Using this remedy regularly will remove dark circles, which will add a bit more confidence in your beautiful face.

Sandalwood is a natural antiseptic and preservative used in the production of soaps, beauty creams, and others.

Sandalwood, popularly known as Chandan in India, has also often been mentioned in the Ayurveda as a natural healer.

Regular use of the antibacterial Sandalwood powder helps in fighting acne-causing bacteria, exfoliates the skin, soothes sunburn, removes suntan, and reduces signs of aging such as dry skin wrinkles.

Nutmeg has anti-inflammatory properties that help diminish pigmentation and redness. Nutmeg works well for both oily and dry skin.

It also helps tighten pores to reduce oiliness, exfoliate the skin, and boost hydration.

Cucumber Slices for the Eye care

It is possible to get rid of and prevent dark circles around the eyes by the natural remedies. One of the natural remedies is using Cucumber.

Things Required:

  • Cucumber

How To:

You can use Cucumber in three ways:

  • Cut the slices of fresh Cucumber and put it on the eyes.
  • Extract the juice out of Cucumber, and then soak the cotton balls in juice and apply around your eyes.
  • Grate the fresh Cucumber and make its paste. Apply the paste around the eyes.

Allow the paste to dry for 5-10 minutes, and you can see the difference within a month.It will ease the eyes and discharge it from the stress developed due to work when placing cucumber slices on the eyes, which also helps in hydrating your eyes and the skin around. Crape Jasmine for your Eyes

  • Crape Jasmine flowers 

How To:

Immerse 3-4 crape jasmine flowers in a cup of fresh water overnight. Next morning, wash your eyes with the flower water. You can also keep the flowers in white cloth and cover it in your eyes. Most essentially, it reduces the strain on your eyes and makes it feel relaxed.

Why it Works:

The flowers can prepare for acne, skin diseases, hypotension and pains. Crape jasmine used as a medicinal herb in the tropics.

Indeed, in India, the applications in traditional medicine are so numerous that the plant may well classify as a panacea for gastro-intestinal, urogenital and skin affections. The flowers, mixed with oil, are applied to sore eyes.

Castor Oil for the puffed eyes

  • Almonds
  • Milk

How To:

  • Crush the almonds into a powdered form.
  • Add one tablespoon of the almonds mash to 2 tablespoons of milk.
  • Mix the two constituents well until they form a paste of smooth consistency.
  • Apply the mixture around your eyes and wash off with cold water after drying.

Using this remedy regularly will remove dark circles, which will add a bit more confidence in your beautiful face.

Why it Works:

Almond acts as a hydrator for the skin. It helps to fade away dark circles and minimize the appearance of crow-feet wrinkles. Almonds contain vitamin E.

This vitamin guard against unstable molecules that target healthy tissue. Almond also contains retinol, and vitamin K, which can keep the delicate skin under your eyes smooth without irritating it.

These naturally occurring ingredients may also help contract the dilated blood vessels that are causing the discolouration. Milk contains vitamin A and vitamin B6 that help to build new skin cells.
