Things Required:

  • Honey – 1 Teaspoon
  • Sunflower Oil – 2 Teaspoon
  • Egg whites – 1 Teaspoon

How To:

  • Mix egg whites with two tablespoons of sunflower oil. 
  • Add in the honey and mix until it became creamy.
  • Massage with it and smooth through from roots to ends of your hair until completely covered. 
  • Cover your hair with a plastic wrap or shower cap and leave for a half-hour.

Rinse with warm water and sulfate-free shampoo until hair is no longer sticky. The mixture will only be sticky until you rinse it out, and then your hair will feel so soft and conditioned.

Homemade Shampoo using Shikakai, Sandal Oil and Amla

We can prepare a natural shampoo for promoting hair growth and get rid of dry and brittle hair. The Homemade shampoo can make at home at your leisure containing natural and accessible ingredients such as Sandal oil, Soap nut, Amla, and Shikakai. It smells great and leaves your hair feeling healthy and soft.

Things Required:

  • Sandal oil – 4 Teaspoon
  • Soapnuts Powder – 100 grams
  • Shikakai Powder – 100 grams
  • Amla Powder – 100 grams
  • Poppy Seeds – 50 grams

How To:

  • Put all ingredients except sandal oil in a pot.
  • Add the necessary water required in it.
  • Boil the ingredients until everything became in half the pot.
  • Remove it from the stove and let it cover and cool until it comes to the average temperature.
  • Strain it and add sandalwood oil, then use it as a regular shampoo.

Massage it in your scalp thoroughly and rinse it with the warm water. For the best outcomes, use the shampoo twice a week. The oily hair persons are not recommended to use it.

Things Required:

  • Hibiscus flowers and leaves – 5-6
  • Shikakai – 2 Teaspoon
  • Amla powder– 4 Teaspoon
  • Water – 750 ml.

How To:

  • Grind the hibiscus flower and leaves together. Add amla and shikakai powder in flower and leaves paste and mix them properly.
  • Add water to it and allow the ingredients to soak overnight.
  • Next morning, heat the pan on high flame till the water comes to a boil.
  • Then, reduce the fire and keep it for 5 to 15 more minutes.
  • When it became concentrated and begins frothing up a little, turn off the flame.
  • Let it cool down by covering the pot with a top.
  • Once it reaches the average temperature, use your hand to crush the boiled ingredients.
  • Keep it in hibiscus leaves and let them dry to become powder form.
  • Now you can use it as shampoo.

Massage your scalp with it and work it through your hair’s entire roots and tips. Then, wash it off thoroughly with warm water. Do it twice a week for shiny and moisturize hair.

Homemade Shampoo using Shikakai, Reetha and Orange Peel

Shampoo and conditioners can contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals that add to the toxic load in your body. For more than thousands of years, people in India have mostly used various fruits, barks, stems, seeds, and leaves to make their homemade shampoo. The Homemade shampoo can make at home at your leisure containing natural and accessible ingredients. It smells great and leaves your hair feeling strong and soft.

Things Required:

  • Shikakai powder – 10 grams
  • Reetha berry – 10 grams
  • Olive powder – 5 grams
  • Orange peel or Lemon peel

How To:

  • Take all herbs in a pan, add 750 ml of water and let them soak for about 8 hours. 
  • Heat the mix till it starts to boil, reduce the flame slightly and let it simmer for 5-15 minutes.
  • The longer you cook, the more concentrated it will become. (Add more water if you wish).
  • Off the stove, cover, and let it cool. When it comes to the room temperature, crush the reetha, shikakai, and peels.
  • Strain it before using it as a regular shampoo.

Yet to do this every time, before you wash your hair, can put many off. And you cannot make a large batch and store the liquid in the fridge, as it will turn rancid. The good news is, you can freeze the mixture into ice trays and use it as and when required. Take out 2 to 3 cubes a few hours before you want to use it.

Wet hair, massage the shampoo on the scalp, and move towards your hair’s ends. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes and then rinse. This shampoo is suitable for all hair types and will not strip the natural oils from your hair.
